Actor Zo In-sung is set to showcase a raw, wild charm as he teams up with director Na Hong-jin.

In director Na Hong-jin's highly anticipated new film 'Hope', Zo In-sung undergoes a dramatic transformation into Sung-ki, a local youth from Hopo Port. Performing high-intensity action sequences himself, Zo brings to life a character with an extraordinary survival instinct, teasing a side of himself that audiences have never seen before.

Sung-ki is a local youth in Hopo Port who takes on any odd job as long as it pays. When a mysterious entity threatens the village, he ventures deep into the mountains to track it down. Zo In-sung portrays Sung-ki with relentless energy, adding depth to the character as he takes decisive action without hesitation, even in the most unpredictable situations.

In particular, Zo personally executed high-difficulty action scenes—including horseback riding through dense forests and vast highways—as well as non-stop chase sequences, delivering a series of heart-pounding action moments.

"I poured all of my energy into every single scene, making each shot incredibly precious to me," Zo In-sung shared. "The filming process itself was a completely new cinematic experience." His dedication has heightened anticipation for his overwhelming screen presence.

Following the world premiere of 'Hope' at the Cannes Film Festival last May, international media outlets also turned their spotlight on Zo's powerful performance. JoBlo praised, "Zo In-sung shows a very cool action hero's appearance while confronting the pursuing aliens," while Ioncinema raved, "The action scene where Zo In-sung appears on horseback is the best sequence in this movie. The character he played steals the audience's attention with a strong survival instinct."

Additionally, Screen Rant noted, "Zo In-sung commands the screen as the brave and strong-willed Sung-ki," further fueling curiosity about Zo's performance in this fresh, transformative role.

'Hope' begins when Beom-seok (played by Hwang Jung-min), the chief of the Hopo Port police outpost near the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), receives reports from local youths about a tiger sighting. As the entire village is placed on high alert, they are forced to confront an unbelievable reality. Directed by Na Hong-jin and starring Hwang Jung-min, Zo In-sung, and Jung Ho-yeon, 'Hope' is scheduled to hit theaters this summer.
