Actor Jin Tae-hyun is stepping down from the JTBC show 'Divorce Camp' after approximately 2 years.
On the morning of the 28th, Jin Tae-hyun shared a handwritten letter on his social media, stating, "I would like to share some news with everyone and my fans. I will be leaving 'Divorce Camp'." He added, "I heard the explanation and decision regarding my departure from the production team through my manager, and I finished my final recording in early April."
Previously, the production team of 'Divorce Camp' announced on the 27th that Jin Tae-hyun would be leaving the show for a reorganization and change in the program. Jin Tae-hyun had been meeting viewers as a 'domestic investigator' who mediates marital conflicts since the pilot broadcast in April 2024. The show will continue with existing MCs Seo Jang-hoon and Park Ha-sun, and a successor has not yet been announced.
Regarding 'Divorce Camp', Jin Tae-hyun remarked, "Because my life experience was so limited and subjective, my personal thoughts and advice were always a source of worry and concern while doing the program. Looking back, I feel embarrassed wondering if I was truly helpful to the viewers and the couples who appeared." However, he emphasized, "Out of my 25 years in the entertainment industry, I worked harder and with more sincerity on this show than any other."
He also expressed his gratitude to the production team and those around him. Jin Tae-hyun added, "I am grateful to those who recommended me to join despite my shortcomings. I sincerely thank the viewers. I will continue to work diligently on various broadcasts and the challenges I am preparing for. Now, I will live even more as a 'couple that encourages marriage' with my wife and continue a life full of gratitude and love."
Jin Tae-hyun married actress Park Si-yeon in 2015 and has been considered one of the representative lovebird couples in the entertainment industry. In 2020, they formed a family by adopting an adult daughter.
