Actors Byeon Yo-han, Esom, Kim Jun-han, and Kim Jong-su are teaming up for the film "Pamun" (working title).
"Pamun" follows the powerful Gwon family of Yedong, who have long run a dangerous illegal enterprise. After the sudden death of the family’s firstborn heir, a ruthless succession battle erupts―sending shockwaves through the clan. Byeon Yo-han plays Park Gi-tae, the fixer who has handled the Gwon family’s dirtiest jobs for years. When his childhood friend Gwon Do-yeong (Kim Jun-han) loses his father, Gi-tae moves first to make sure Do-yeong can fully inherit the throne.
Byeon Yo-han recently went viral for a striking buzz cut―and it turns out "Pamun" is the reason. As Park Gi-tae, he’s set to anchor the film at its core.
Esom plays Gwon So-hyeon, the eldest daughter who left for Seoul to escape the family business. Returning after years away, she quickly clocks the house’s new vibe―and finds herself in the eye of an unpredictable succession storm.
Kim Jun-han takes on Gwon Do-yeong, the firstborn grandson expected to inherit the operation after his father’s death. But the elders doubt his ability, and their suspicion grows. He leans on his friend Park Gi-tae (Byeon Yo-han) and his sister Gwon So-hyeon (Esom), even as a fierce desire to become a true businessman stirs inside him.
Kim Jong-su joins as Gwon Byeong-ryeol, the ambitious uncle eyeing the heir’s seat, bringing a menacing charisma that threatens his niece and nephew.
Rookie director Kim Seon-gyeong is at the helm, with director Byun Sung-hyun―known for “The Merciless” and “Good News”―participating on the screenplay.
Following its table read, "Pamun" has begun filming and is slated for a 2027 release.
