The film “The King's Warden” has crossed the 15 million mark and rebounded to over 100,000 daily moviegoers.
According to the Korean Film Council’s integrated box office data on the 26th, “The King's Warden” drew 110,073 viewers on the 25th, holding the No. 1 spot at the box office. Its cumulative admissions now stand at 15,031,648.
By surpassing 15 million admissions on the 25th, “The King's Warden” climbed to No. 3 on the all-time box office chart, overtaking “Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds” (14.41 million).
In its eighth week, the film had slipped below the 100,000 daily admissions line, but thanks to Cultural Day on the 25th, it bounced back above 100,000. Momentum suggests it will likely continue its No. 1 streak through the weekend.
Next up for “The King's Warden” is the No. 2 all-time spot, held by “Extreme Job” (16.26 million). A challenge for that record could come as soon as next week.
