Netflix is releasing the feature documentary "BTS: THE RETURN", capturing the group’s fiery 3-year, 9-month journey back to a comeback.
Premiering Friday, March 27, "BTS: THE RETURN" follows BTS as they reunite after a long wait and shape their music on the road to their comeback.
Since debuting in 2013, BTS has made history with unmatched global popularity. The film looks back on their past and spotlights how they’re preparing the next chapter as artists. It also continues the excitement and emotion of "BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE: ARIRANG", which will stream exclusively worldwide on Netflix on Saturday, the 21st, at 8 p.m.
The newly unveiled "BTS: THE RETURN" poster teases the heat of their comeback journey, right up to the long-awaited stage. The trailer raises anticipation with a look at the making of their 5th full-length album "ARIRANG", and first-person stories from all seven members about their past, present, and future as they keep dreaming and pushing forward.
Gathered in Los Angeles, the seven members reflect on what “BTS” means as they wrestle with ideas for their new album and music. With uncertainty and hope for what’s ahead, they complete the music by trusting one another.
In the trailer, the line “We came back to where we’re meant to be” underscores the first full-group album in 3 years and 9 months―and the kind of stage only BTS can deliver, even under the weight of a heavy crown.
"BTS: THE RETURN" is directed by Bao Nguyen, who also helmed the Netflix documentary "The Greatest Night in Pop". Global production company This Machine and HYBE team up to capture BTS’s comeback journey up close.
"BTS: THE RETURN" premieres on Netflix at 4 p.m. on March 27.
