K-pop group NOWZ is making its official debut in Japan.

The five-member act will release its first Japanese EP, "NOWZ," on March 4. The set features five diverse tracks.

Headlining the project is "AMMO" (feat. YRD Leo), with the buzzed-about Japanese rapper jumping on the title track. The EP also reimagines fan favorites in Japanese: "HomeRUN" and "GET BUCK" from last year’s third single, plus "In an Unnamed World" and "Fly to the Youth"  from the first mini-album "IGNITION"―offering a fresh spin on the originals.

"AMMO" (feat. YRD Leo) is a hard-hitting, cinematic hip-hop cut. YRD Leo, known for emotive lyrics and a distinct tone, has been gaining attention in Japan; his 2021 track "Bye" became a social media breakout.

To celebrate the release, NOWZ will meet fans in Tokyo: a mini live and benefit event at Tower Records Shibuya on March 5-6, followed by appearances at LaLaport Tokyo-Bay on March 7-8.

NOWZ’s momentum has been building. In October, the group was named Billboard’s K-Pop Rookie of the Month, and "EVERGLOW"―the title track from their first mini-album, "IGNITION"―landed on Billboard’s Best K-Pop of 2025: Staff Picks, cementing their status as a next-wave boy group to watch.
