On Episode 3 of SBS’s "The Ballad of Us Radio", airing tonight at 10:40 p.m. KST, the show packs in firsts: rival-turned-duet stages, longtime friends teaming up, and the series’ debut of head-to-head four-member ballad idol units.
Kicking off with a request-driven segment, noted rivals Lee Ye-ji and Choi Eun-bin unite for a duet as the MooMoo Team’s pick, while childhood friends Lee Ji-hoon and Jeremy counter for the ChaCha Team with their easy, veteran chemistry. Both sides lean into the theme of “breakup,” promising two very different shades of heartbreak onstage.
Lee Ye-ji and Choi Eun-bin tackle Fly to the Sky’s “Missing You,” channeling restraint and ache. Even with Lee’s voice not at full strength, emcee Jun Hyun-moo remarked that the controlled delivery “lands even sadder,” piquing curiosity. Facing them, Lee Ji-hoon and Jeremy chose Zion.T’s “Snow,” offering a lyrical, intimate take on parting that sets up a tight duel.
A new segment, the Four-Member Ballad Idol Showdown, also makes its debut. With Jun Hyun-moo and Cha Tae-hyun handpicking two powerhouse quartets, this face-off is poised to be the night’s clincher. For the MooMoo Team, the men’s unit―Cheon Beom-seok, Hong Seung-min, Lee Jun-seok, and Jung Ji-woong―bands together as “Cheon-Hong-Lee-Jeong” to perform BTOB’s “Missing You.” Their sturdy vocals plus a slick rap break drew raves: “That rap hit way harder than expected,” and “Giving total 2AM vibes.”
The ChaCha Team answers with a women’s quartet―Lee Ye-ji, Choi Eun-bin, Min Soo-hyun, and Kim Yoon-yi―forming “Small Mama,” a playful nod to Big Mama, and delivering Eco’s “Happy Me.” With featherlight dynamics and gleaming harmonies, the room reportedly sat in stunned silence―so much so that even Cheon-Hong-Lee-Jeong were at a loss for words.
From rival duets to four-piece fireworks, these bold new matchups from the Top 12 hit the stage tonight (20th) at 10:40 p.m. KST on Episode 3 of "The Ballad of Us Radio".
