Singer J-Cera kicks off 2026 with her first single of the year, “Grateful for Every Day.”
After a steady run of albums, OSTs and concerts last year, J-Cera keeps the momentum going with the new track, out Jan. 13.
The song looks back on a past love with tender apologies and thanks, delivered in clean, unfussy lyrics. Its refrain ― reflecting on how “everything was beautiful,” missing someone deeply, and realizing “every day was a gift” ― lands with a quiet, resonant punch.
J-Cera’s signature, emotive vocals lead the way, while restrained ornamentation gives the performance a cinematic swell without overpowering the sentiment.
Behind the boards, Rosebud ― known for work with veterans like Choi Ho-seop, Yoon Yeo-gyu and Kwon In-ha ― teams up with producer Go Byung-sik, whose credits span g.o.d’s Kim Tae-woo, Sohyang, ALi, Jo Hang-jo and Yang Ji-eun, underscoring the single’s polished, cross-generational appeal.
Since debuting with the 2010 single “Lonely Night,” J-Cera has promised fans a steady pace of releases, vowing to drop one new song every month. She closed out last year celebrating that she’d kept the pledge ― and she’s not slowing down.
“The new ballad from the ‘Ballad Queen’ J-Cera captures her full range and warmth ― the perfect gift of comfort in the cold,” says a source from the production team.
“Grateful for Every Day” arrives Jan. 13 at 6 p.m. KST on major streaming platforms.
