On Nov. 23, at the 29th Chunsa International Film Festival, she took home Best New Actress for the feature "The World of Love", earning praise for sharp character insight and layered, emotionally precise work that belied her newcomer status.
Onstage, Seo thanked her director, crew, senior and fellow actors, and audiences, adding, “I’ll keep showing up, working hard, and learning with every opportunity I’m given.”
Born in 2001, Seo made her big-screen debut with "The World of Love" and drew strong reviews for a nuanced portrayal of an 18-year-old high schooler.
Despite having little prior acting experience, she impressed director Yoon Ga-eun at auditions with her flexibility and distinctive presence. After release, her revelatory performance and singular screen charisma quickly put both the industry and the public on notice.
Riding that momentum, Seo has collected Best Actress at the 5th Red Sea International Film Festival, Best New Performer at the 26th Women in Film Korea Awards, Best New Actor at the 12th Korea Film Producers Association Awards, and now Best New Actress at the 29th Chunsa International Film Festival―four acting wins in a single year.
With such a dazzling debut, anticipation is high for Seo’s next moves in 2026.
