Actor Choo Young-woo shared his excitement ahead of his big-screen debut.
On Dec. 22 at CGV Yongsan in Seoul, during the press screening and media Q&A for "Even if This Love Disappears from the World Tonight", Choo said, "I'm thrilled to be making my screen debut. I've always dreamed of watching my own movie in a theater, and it feels amazing."
He also praised his co-star Shin Si-a: "Starting my first film with Shin Si-a made it even better. She helped me a lot with my acting and took great care of me on set ― even making sure I ate."
Choo first broke out with the 2021 web drama "You Make Me Dance" and rose to stardom last year with the Netflix medical drama "The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call." Now, less than four years into his career, he’s making his leading-man debut on the big screen.
"Even if This Love Disappears from the World Tonight" is a youth romance about Seo-yoon (Shin Si-a), who loses her memories every day, and Jae-won (Choo Young-woo), who fills in the blanks for her as they fight to remember ― and hold on to ― their love. The film adapts the best-selling Japanese novel of the same name, which has sold 1.3 million copies worldwide, reimagined with a Korean sensibility.
The film opens Dec. 24.
