The SBS Wednesday-Thursday rom-com has logged back-to-back series highs, reviving the network’s weeknight romance streak. Episode 3 on Nov. 19 peaked at 6.8% with 5.6% in the Seoul capital region, while Episode 4 on Nov. 20 hit a peak of 7.8% and 6.5% in the metro area―No. 1 among weekday mini-series across all channels in its slot. The show is also breaking out abroad, ranking No. 2 globally on Netflix’s Non-English TV chart for Nov. 17?23.
"Dynamic Kiss" hooked viewers from its very first kiss between Gong Ji-hyeok (Jang Ki-yong) and Go Da-rim (Ahn Eun-jin), a dopamine-jolt opener that set the tone. When Da-rim, disguising herself as a married mom to make ends meet, lands a job and discovers the team leader is Ji-hyeok, their dynamic flips into full enemies-to-lovers energy. Fast-paced hijinks have kept audiences glued.
Now comes the tension spike: starting with Episode 5 on the 26th, Da-rim’s ride-or-die of 20 years, Kim Sun-woo (Kim Moo-jun)―who’s been posing as her “fake husband”―steps into the spotlight, lighting the fuse on a triangle with Ji-hyeok and Da-rim.
The Episode 5 teaser shows Ji-hyeok, Da-rim and Sun-woo sharing an elevator: Sun-woo firmly holding Da-rim’s hand, Da-rim visibly flustered, and Ji-hyeok watching with a loaded stare. Expect crackling mind games, swoony beats and laugh-out-loud moments as sparks fly among the trio.
“The full-fledged love triangle begins in Episode 5 airing today (the 26th),” the production team said. “Sun-woo’s presence will bring meaningful shifts to Ji-hyeok and Da-rim’s feelings. Jang Ki-yong, Ahn Eun-jin and Kim Moo-jun move seamlessly between comedy and butterflies, dialing up the romance. Please look forward to their chemistry―big laughs when it’s funny, and real heart-flutters when it counts.”
Episode 5 of SBS’s "Dynamic Kiss" premieres tonight (Wednesday, Nov. 26) at 9 p.m. KST.
