The Sept. 16 episode of "Invitation from Bachelor Again" welcomes Lee Ji-hye, Son Dam-bi and rising variety favorite Kim Ddolddol, promising rapid-fire banter with the show’s resident bachelors.
During a recent taping, Lee shared that years ago―when both were going through tough times―she saw Lee Sang-min sobbing on a church stage, praying his heart out. “I’d gone there because I was struggling after S#ARP split,” she said, adding with a laugh that watching how raw he was oddly put her at ease: “It made me think, ‘Maybe my problems aren’t so big after all.’” The candid story had the studio in stitches.
Making her first variety appearance five months after welcoming her baby at 43, Son Dam-bi opened up about a hard delivery and even showed a photo of her daughter. She joked that during an ultrasound the doctor teased, “I don’t see Dam-bi’s face in there,” which worried her at the time. Lee Ji-hye quipped back, “No, she turned out gorgeous―count your blessings. My girls would cry if someone said they take after their dad,” sending the room roaring.
Meanwhile, Kim Ddolddol―dubbed the “second Hong Seok-cheon” for his scene-stealing variety chops―claimed he once “ruled” the Itaewon club scene. He cracked everyone up recalling the night he spotted Son Dam-bi dancing not on the stage, but on, well, something else entirely. Hearing this, Son smiled wistfully: “It’s true―I used to love clubbing. After getting married, that part of my life got sealed away,” she said, half-joking, half-sighing.
Kim then revealed his secret weapon for owning the dance floor: Son Dam-bi’s hits. He fired up the studio with a freestyle to her songs―and the “original queen” answered right back, jumping into an impromptu chair dance to her smash "Crazy," proving she’s still got it and turning the set upside down.
