'The Nature Man', shining as the grand prize winner at the 49th Seoul Independent Film Festival, is set to hit theaters this August.
'The Nature Man' is a wildly entertaining pop-up comedy film that follows YouTubers venturing deep into the mountains to shoot ghost content, only to find themselves in a bizarre survival scenario that's equally terrifying, hilarious, and utterly astonishing. Directed by Noh Young-seok, this marks his third feature film and his triumphant return after 11 years, celebrated with the grand prize at the 49th Seoul Independent Film Festival (2023).
Starring rising stars Byun Jae-shin and Jung Yong-hoon, alongside seasoned actors Shin Woon-seop and Lee Ran-hee, the cast embarks on a genuine bizarre survival adventure in the remote mountains. They portray individuals who act out sensational fakes as if they were real, embedding a sharp satire on reality. The film mixes primal fears, uncontrollable laughter, and an unpredictable climax to create a unique synergy.

Notably, 'The Nature Man' is a one-man production project by director Noh Young-seok, who covered everything from the screenplay, pre-production, production, to post-production processes single-handedly. Operating in a confined space with a small cast and a limited schedule, the entire project was a 'survival' challenge for Noh. 'The Nature Man' was created without any external interference, embodying the ultimate freedom and joy in filmmaking, with distribution and marketing centered around Noh's production company, Stonework.
Priding itself on top-notch satire, B-movie charm, and superior directing, Noh Young-seok's third feature film 'The Nature Man' promises a unique cinematic experience this August in theaters.
