Premiering on Friday the 25th, "Try: We Become Miracles" (written by Lim Jin-ah, directed by Jang Young-seok) is a heartwarming sports comedy drama about an unpredictable and eccentric coach, Joo Garam, and the perpetually last-place Hanyang Physical Education High School rugby team as they race toward a national championship.
Directed by Jang Young-seok—who co-directed "Taxi Driver 2"—and penned by Lim Jin-ah, the winner of the SBS Cultural Foundation Script Contest, the drama stars Yoon Kye-sang (as Joo Garam), Lim Se-mi (as Bae Yi-ji), and Kim Yohan (as Yoon Sung-jun), bringing together a cast full of talent and vibrant energy.
Kim Yohan plays Yoon Sung-jun, a third-year student and captain of the Hanyang PE High School rugby team. Although he struggles with feelings of inferiority due to his twin brother being a national junior soccer player, Sung-jun is a hard-working athlete who truly loves sports. As the leader of a team known for being dead last in national rankings, he embarks on a wild and emotional journey toward the national sports competition alongside their quirky new coach.
On July 2, the production team released the first stills of Kim Yohan as Yoon Sung-jun. In the photos, he shows off the solid build of a rugby player, with broad shoulders and defined muscles that enhance his rugged appeal. On the field, his striking physical presence is matched by the fiery intensity in his eyes, making hearts race. Even while standing at ease, his disciplined stance and precisely angled arms show he is a textbook example of a by-the-book team captain.
Kim Yohan is now fully immersed in the role of Hanyang PE High School's straight-laced captain. Whether it is the tight-fitting rugby uniform or casual training gear, he pulls it off effortlessly, heightening anticipation for his performance. His youthful spirit and boundless energy radiate from the screen, making viewers eager to see his impact on the field.
"I trained steadily for this role," Kim shared. "We spent 3–4 days filming just one match, and I gave it my all without regrets. All the rugby team actors pushed through, even filming through injuries."
With Kim Yohan stepping into the role of a textbook team captain and the promise of dynamic chemistry with the eccentric new coach played by Yoon Kye-sang and the rest of the team, anticipation for "Try" is building fast.
Set to fill the summer with fiery youth and sportsmanship, "Try" will premiere at 9:50 p.m. on Friday the 25th, following the conclusion of "Our Movie."
