On the 23rd, SBS's 'Same Bed, Different Dreams: You Are My Destiny 2' aired the moment everyone has been waiting for: the reveal of Song Jae-hee and Ji So-yeon's babies' genders.
During the episode, Song Jae-hee shared how he has been trying to do everything he can before the twins arrive, even joking, "I even went out for a delivery this morning." It turned out he was covering up for his script reading session with a delivery side job.
While he was trying to support his family, his failure to communicate the truth led to a misunderstanding with Ji So-yeon, escalating into an argument. Song Jae-hee admitted, "I didn't want to bring it up, but I wanted to clear the air."
Witnessing this, Lee Hyun-yi commented, "But discussing it in front of the whole family made So-yeon look like the bad guy," while Kim Gura playfully added, "A more thoughtful person wouldn't have brought it up there," sparking laughter.
Song Jae-hee also expressed his guilt, acknowledging that his wife is going through a tougher time. The in-laws praised Ji So-yeon's resilience, saying, "It's because it's So-yeon. She's so strong and hardworking."
Ji So-yeon, balancing her roles as a mother and a businesswoman, moved Song Jae-hee to tears with her dedication.
The episode finally revealed the genders of their children. Song Jae-hee, who had hoped for one of each, said, "Honestly, I was curious about having a son. So, a son and a daughter would be great. But two sons? That would be a nightmare."
He humorously added, "After seeing my brother's two boys, I thought two sons would definitely be too much. Parents with two sons must be heading straight to heaven."
The family then held a gender reveal event, cheering when they found out the first child is a boy and the second a girl.
However, Song Jae-hee could not hide his concern even amidst the celebration, fretting over the confetti scattered on the floor, "What is this mess? Who's going to clean this up?" eliciting laughter.
Meanwhile, at the end of the broadcast, actors Park Ha-na and former basketball player Kim Tae-sool were teased as the new couple to join the show, raising anticipation for the next episode.
