Singer KCM, 43, has finally shared the story behind his decision to reveal his wife, with whom he has two daughters, after 14 years of marriage.
On the 7th, during an episode of MBC's 'Radio Star', KCM talked about his wife, saying, "She was modeling in Japan before moving to Korea in search of an agency. She's a friend of a relative's younger sibling. We met over a meal, and I was instantly smitten because she was so beautiful."
Reflecting on their first meeting, KCM said, "I didn't believe in fate, but looking back, it seems like it was meant to be. I subconsciously thought I had to marry her. We've been together for over ten years. We're planning to have our wedding next year."
KCM is a father to two daughters, one in the first year of middle school and the other aged three. Last month, he revealed that he had his first daughter in 2012 while he was in the military, saying, "It was a tough time, especially without me there. I think I lacked the courage to face it all. When my first daughter was born, I was deep in debt, to the point of nearly hitting rock bottom. I leaned on someone, but it backfired horribly."
He continued, "I was unable to work, and the thought of registering our marriage scared me because my debts would become our family's debts. I even got shingles for the first time because of the stress. It drove me to some very dark thoughts. Looking back, I regret not handling things differently."
KCM is now planning a wedding ceremony with his wife. He shared, "We wanted to have a wedding during the COVID-19 pandemic, but it wasn't possible. So, we had a small commitment ceremony with our family. My wife has always wanted a proper wedding, and if we were to have one, I wanted to do it openly, with our daughters present, to make it comfortable for everyone."
