A Japanese woman who unexpectedly kissed BTS JIN during a fan event has been charged by prosecutors a year later.
The Songpa Police Station in Seoul recently investigated a Japanese woman in her 50s who voluntarily appeared at the police station after entering the country. She has been charged with sexual harassment in a crowded place under the Sexual Violence Punishment Act and sent to the prosecutors.
Previously, this woman attended JIN's fan event 'JIN's Greetings' held in June last year. During a hug event with 1,000 fans, she kissed JIN on the cheek. JIN, taken aback by the sudden kiss, showed a surprised expression, and the moment was captured on video.
The video sparked controversy online, leading another fan to file a complaint through the online public office, asking for the woman to be punished.
The police, upon initiating an investigation, found a post on a Japanese blog stating, "My lips touched his neck. His skin was soft." They requested international cooperation from Interpol Japan to identify the author of the post and successfully pinpointed the suspect after seven months.
