Wonder Women has taken down World Class.

On the 23rd, the broadcast of SBS's 'Kick a Goal' featured the highly anticipated match where Wonder Women, with the new addition of Mashima, faced off against Saori's World Class.

Before the game, the players were visibly shocked at the news of Mashima Yu joining Wonder Women. Mashima Yu, having previously played with Saori on the Japanese national team, made a point to meet her in person.

Saori, upon seeing Mashima Yu, exclaimed, "I knew it! I totally knew it!" She added, "Didn't I say? I had a hunch you might join the regular team."

The World Class members were taken aback by Mashima's unexpected arrival, thinking she was there to cheer them on, which led to a mix of confusion and concern. Saori, in particular, seemed lost in thought, her expression complex.

Coach Kim Byung-ji was also thrown for a loop, commenting, "She might be even better than national team players Lee Jung-eun and Park Ha-yan." The players agreed, fearing Mashima's inclusion in the team. Nonetheless, World Class tried to maintain their confidence, asserting, "We won't go down without a fight. We're okay."

Director Lee Geun-ho, who was commentating, noticed Jo Jae-jin's unusually bright expression and teased, "Jae-jin, you need to hide that smile. Are you too happy about this? Isn't Mashima's joining a bit too much?" Even Bae Seong-jae chimed in, saying it was the first time he'd seen Jo Jae-jin look so pleased.

The atmosphere was buzzing even before the game started, as Mashima's practice shots drew attention. Everyone was curious if Wonder Women could indeed defeat World Class.

As the first match of Group B, the "Group of Death," kicked off, Mashima immediately made her presence felt, swiftly stealing the ball and taking shots, putting World Class on edge.

Wonder Women's offense kept up the pressure, and even World Class's forwards had to join in on defense, a testament to Wonder Women's dominance. Other teams watched in awe as Wonder Women took control of the game.

The opening goal came from an unexpected own goal when Karine's clearance hit a teammate and went in.

With Mashima involved in every play, the other teams and their coaches looked on with growing concern, their faces turning ashen.

The next goal was Trudy's debut goal, assisted by Mashima. From Kisum to Mashima, and then to Trudy, Wonder Women showcased a counterattack masterclass.

In the second half, World Class decided to have Saori man-mark Mashima. However, Jo Jae-jin had anticipated this and switched So Yumi and Mashima's positions, outsmarting World Class.

Coach Jo Jae-jin, watching Wonder Women's play, remarked, "Everyone thought Wonder would be an easy win. But now, it seems like Wonder has become a contender for the championship."

Mashima intercepted World Class's ball and scored a debut goal with a clean shot. Then, seizing a moment when Elodie lost her mark, she stole the ball and launched a quick counterattack, scoring a multi-goal and drawing attention.

With Mashima involved in every goal, World Class was on the back foot from the start. Other teams and coaches lamented, "This is the first time World Class has seen such a score and atmosphere. It's their worst day ever."

With the debut goal from new member Woo Hee-jun, Wonder Women crushed World Class 5-0, proving they're a team that requires defending against every player, not just one.

After the game, Saori told her teammates, "We need to understand why these mistakes happened. It's a lack of practice. I can't even figure out what we did today," expressing her frustration and ultimately unable to hold back her tears.
