The upcoming drama 'The Haunted Palace' has released a teaser video hinting at an unprecedented love triangle involving Kim Ji-yeon and Yook Sung-jae.

Set to premiere on Friday, the 18th, SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama 'The Haunted Palace' (written by Yoon Soo-jung, directed by Yoon Sung-sik) is a fantasy romantic comedy about a shaman named Yeori who rejects her fate, and an Imoogi named Kang Cheol trapped in the body of Yeori's first love, Yoon Gap. Together, they face off against a vengeful spirit haunting the royal family, leading to a tangled web of bodies and souls. Directed by Yoon Sung-sik, known for 'Mr. Queen', 'You Are the Best!', 'Bridal Mask', and 'Dae Jo Yeong', and written by Yoon Soo-jung, who penned 'The King's Face' and 'Cheer Up!', the drama promises a fresh and dynamic cast including Yook Sung-jae (as Yoon Gap/Kang Cheol), Kim Ji-yeon (as Yeori), and Kim Ji-hoon (as Lee Jung), drawing significant attention.

In this drama, Yook Sung-jae plays the dual role of Yoon Gap, Yeori's first love and a scribe possessed by the evil spirit Imoogi, Kang Cheol. Kim Ji-yeon portrays Yeori, a shaman who defies her destiny and lives as a master craftsman of eyeglasses.

On the 11th, 'The Haunted Palace' released its third teaser video focusing on Yeori's suitors. First, we meet the charming and intellectual Yoon Gap, who melts Yeori's heart with a warm smile and the line, "I told you I'd come for you, didn't I?" embodying the quintessential first love.

However, the unexpected death of Yoon Gap introduces Yeori's second suitor, capturing everyone's attention. The notorious Imoogi, Kang Cheol, possesses Yoon Gap's body. With keywords like 'arrogant', 'handsome', and 'capable', Kang Cheol, in Yoon Gap's guise, wreaks havoc with his mischievous antics, bringing humor to the palace and the city.

Yeori, frustrated, exclaims, "I won't tolerate any more disgraceful acts!" Yet, as she spends more time with Kang Cheol, her resolve begins to waver, piquing viewers' interest. The teaser ends with Kang Cheol teasing Yeori, saying, "I'm not that Yoon Gap guy, so why does my heart keep fluttering unnecessarily?" This raises the question of who Yeori will ultimately choose between the human Yoon Gap and the Imoogi Kang Cheol.

Meanwhile, Yook Sung-jae's impressive dual role performance in the teaser is garnering praise. He seamlessly transitions between the bright and intellectual Yoon Gap and the charismatic and sly Kang Cheol, showcasing his versatile acting skills. Kim Ji-yeon also shines, creating distinct chemistry with both versions of Yook Sung-jae, adding depth to their romance. As a result, anticipation is building for how Yook Sung-jae and Kim Ji-yeon will portray this unique love triangle in 'The Haunted Palace'.

The fantasy historical rom-com 'The Haunted Palace' is set to air following the conclusion of 'Buried Hearts', with its first episode premiering on Friday, the 18th, at 9:50 PM.
