Shin Dong-yup, Suzy, and Park Bo-gum are set to take the stage as hosts for the 'Baeksang Arts Awards' once again this year.
The trio will be hosting the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards with Gucci, scheduled for May 5th at 8 PM at the COEX D Hall in Gangnam, Seoul. This marks their seventh time working together.
Shin Dong-yup will be holding the Baeksang MC microphone for the eleventh time. He has been a staple at the awards, hosting from the 50th to the 52nd ceremonies, and then continuously from the 54th to the 61st. Known for his exceptional hosting skills, Shin Dong-yup has a knack for steering the event with his charismatic presence. This year, he is also nominated for the Best Male Entertainer Award in the broadcasting category, adding more significance to his role. He aims for his third trophy, having previously won at the 30th and 50th ceremonies.
Suzy, often referred to as the 'Icon of Baeksang,' celebrates her 10th anniversary as an MC this year. She is the first in Baeksang history to achieve this milestone without missing a single year. Suzy first connected with Baeksang by winning the New Actress Award in both TV and film categories and has been a part of the awards since the 52nd ceremony in 2016.
Park Bo-gum is returning for his seventh stint as a Baeksang MC. After making his debut as a host at the 54th ceremony and continuing through the 56th, he took a brief hiatus for military service during the 57th ceremony. He returned to the Baeksang stage for the 58th ceremony as his first post-service event. Known for his steady and engaging hosting style, Park Bo-gum is also nominated for the Best Actor Award in the broadcasting category this year for his role in Netflix's 'You Have Done Well.' His dual role as both MC and nominee is sure to capture attention.
The 61st Baeksang Arts Awards with Gucci announced its nominees on April 7th via the official Baeksang Arts Awards website and social media channels. The ceremony will be broadcast live on JTBC, JTBC2, and JTBC4 at 8 PM on May 5th.
