Set to premiere in April, SBS' new Friday-Saturday drama 'The Haunted Palace' (written by Yoon Soo-jung, directed by Yoon Sung-sik) is a fantasy romantic comedy. It follows the story of Yeori, a shaman who rejects her fate, and Imugi Kang Cheol, who is trapped in the body of Yeori's first love, Yoon Gap. Together, they encounter a vengeful spirit, Palcheok-gwi, leading to a tangled web of body and soul. Director Yoon Sung-sik, known for dramas like 'Mr. Queen,' 'You Are the Best!,' 'Bridal Mask,' and 'Dae Jo-yeong,' teams up with writer Yoon Soo-jung, who penned 'The King's Face' and 'Cheer Up!' The drama stars Yook Sung-jae (as Yoon Gap/Kang Cheol), Kim Ji-yeon (as Yeori), and Kim Ji-hoon (as Lee Sung), creating an exciting ensemble of talent.

In the drama, Yook Sung-jae plays Yoon Gap, Yeori's (played by Kim Ji-yeon) first love and a loyal subject favored by the king. His life takes a dramatic turn when he becomes possessed by the malevolent Imugi, Kang Cheol. Kim Ji-yeon portrays Yeori, a shaman who defies her destiny and lives as a master craftsman of eyeglasses. Her life becomes entangled in an unprecedented romance when the Imugi possesses her first love, Yoon Gap.

The 'The Haunted Palace' team has released a teaser poster featuring the enchanting duo of Yook Sung-jae and Kim Ji-yeon. The two are seen strolling through a flower field, exuding a sweet, romantic vibe. Their affectionate smiles and the elegant traditional Korean attire they wear highlight their perfect visual chemistry, captivating viewers.

What truly catches the eye is the Imugi tail peeking from beneath Yook Sung-jae's robe, showcasing its unique presence. The scales of the Imugi, a legendary creature that has spent a thousand years in water to become a dragon, emit a mystical glow. This raises curiosity about the story of the Imugi, unexpectedly trapped in a human body, and the human shaman who loses her first love to the malevolent spirit.

'The Haunted Palace' will air after currently-running 'Buried Hearts,' with its first episode set to premiere in April.
