On February 25, Sung Hae-eun shared a new video on her YouTube channel, giving viewers a glimpse into her newly moved-in home.
After spending the day tidying up, Sung Hae-eun settled on her living room couch at night and shared her story.
Sung Hae-eun shared, "I've always dreamed of filming videos and taking pictures at home. But since my home was never in great shape, I always felt uncomfortable doing that. Even when I wanted to take pictures of gifts I received, I couldn't because of the background. And if someone offered to give me a ride home, I'd always say, 'It's okay,' just to avoid it."
She continued, "My home was a huge insecurity for me. Honestly, poverty itself was. Watching the movie 'Parasite' was pretty painful for me actually, as it felt like it was exposing parts of me I wanted to hide. When it rained, water would leak into my house. Mold grew everywhere. Laundry never dried properly."

She added, "A friend once said to me that it looked like I wasn't scared of bugs. I told them, 'Well, I grew up with them, so I had to kill them myself.' They awkwardly laughed, but I wasn't saying it to make them uncomfortable. That's just how it was for me. Since I have a bright and bubbly personality, people don't expect that I grew up poor. But that was because I always told myself, 'Don't ever let it show.'"
The "EXchange 2" star wrapped up by saying, "I can't say poverty was a good thing, but it definitely made me stronger. Now, I'm living in such a great home, and honestly, I couldn't ask for more."
