[SBS Entertainment News | Kang Sun-ae] SBS's 'Curious Stories Y' delves into the truth behind the murder of a beekeeper.

In the episode airing on the 14th, 'Curious Stories Y' will investigate a murder case that allegedly occurred due to a queen bee.

During the unusually cold Lunar New Year holiday, local residents gathered at a bathhouse to celebrate the holiday. The hot topic of conversation was the local beekeeper. A resident, Ms. Mi-sook (pseudonym), tried to contact beekeeper Mr. Kim (pseudonym) to purchase honey but was unable to reach him for two days. She found it strange that Mr. Kim, who should have been busy during the holiday season, had gone silent.

There was someone else anxiously waiting for his call: Mr. Sun-jae (pseudonym), a friend of Mr. Kim for 20 years. The last contact he had with Mr. Kim was a missed call on the morning of the 27th, just two days before the Lunar New Year. Eventually, Mr. Sun-jae went to Mr. Kim's apiary with his son, but Mr. Kim, who usually spent every day there, was nowhere to be found. What could have happened to him?

On the 28th at 1:30 PM, a missing person report for Mr. Kim was filed with the police. Hundreds of police officers, firefighters, and local residents searched for him, but there were no leads. At that time, a person of interest emerged in the police investigation: Mr. Tae-jun (pseudonym), who worked as a gas delivery person in the neighborhood.

The two had spoken on the morning of Mr. Kim's disappearance. However, it was just a routine order call, and Mr. Tae-jun claimed he delivered gas to Mr. Kim's apiary at around 9:20 AM and left immediately afterward. As Mr. Kim's whereabouts became increasingly mysterious, news of him finally surfaced in an unexpected location. His body was discovered buried in the ground just 25 meters from the apiary, showing signs of blunt force trauma. Who could have assaulted and killed him?

The perpetrator was a neighbor, Mr. Park (pseudonym). CCTV footage captured him leaving his house with a blunt object before the crime. The 'Curious Stories Y' production team managed to meet with Mr. Park's family, who claimed they were innocent. They argued that they had intended to start beekeeping but suffered significant losses because the beehives they purchased from Mr. Kim were missing a queen bee.

However, local residents found this hard to believe. They pointed out that it was strange for Mr. Park to commit murder two years after purchasing the beehives. Was Mr. Park's motive truly related to the 'queen bee'?

'Curious Stories Y' will investigate the truth behind the beekeeper murder case, airing on Friday, the 14th, at 9 PM.
