Following the sudden passing of Taiwanese actress Seo Hee-won, her ex-husband's public expression of grief has sparked outrage among fans.

Seo Hee-won's husband, Koo Jun-yup, is scheduled to return to Taiwan with her remains on the 6th, while her ex-husband, Chinese national Wang Su-bi, made a public plea to local reporters a day earlier, asking them to "speak kindly of her." Fans have reacted with disbelief.

Wang Su-bi quickly changed his social media profile picture to a black background on the day Seo Hee-won passed away, February 2nd, contrasting sharply with the family's lack of media engagement during this difficult time, including Koo Jun-yup, who was overwhelmed by the sudden loss.

Additionally, it has been reported that Wang Su-bi left a comment on a 2018 variety show video featuring the late Seo Hee-won, stating, "I miss my wife so much." When fans questioned why he referred to her as "wife," he later deleted the term and simply wrote, "I miss her."

Fans' negative reactions towards Wang Su-bi stem from his history of spreading various rumors about Seo Hee-won, her family, and Koo Jun-yup during their divorce and custody battles.

In 2022, after Seo Hee-won remarried Koo Jun-yup following their reunion after over 20 years, Wang Su-bi became embroiled in controversy for failing to pay child support for their two children, which had been agreed upon prior to their separation.

Wang Su-bi also spread damaging rumors in 2022, claiming that Seo Hee-won had used illegal drugs during their marriage. In response, Seo Hee-won stated, "I have no interest in drugs, and we abide by the law. Furthermore, I have a heart condition, so I cannot use such substances. I have no criminal record," sharing official documents on her social media to defend herself.

Not stopping there, Wang Su-bi's mother also made speculative comments suggesting that Seo Hee-won had feelings for Koo Jun-yup even before their divorce, implying an affair. Koo Jun-yup responded by posting, "Stop Fake News" along with a photo.

Seo Hee-won traveled to Tokyo with her family on January 29, but her flu symptoms worsened, leading to hospitalization. Unfortunately, her condition deteriorated rapidly, and she passed away at 7 AM on February 2. Koo Jun-yup and her family were by her side during her final moments, and it is reported that Wang Su-bi and their two children were also present.

Koo Jun-yup and Seo Hee-won first met in 1998 when Koo Jun-yup's group, Clon, was at the height of its popularity in the Chinese-speaking world. They dated for over a year but broke up due to their agency's opposition. Seo Hee-won later built a family and had two children, while Koo Jun-yup remained unmarried. After Seo Hee-won's marriage ended in November 2021, Koo Jun-yup mustered the courage to call her after 20 years, leading to their reunion and successful remarriage in February 2022. Tragically, they were unable to celebrate their third wedding anniversary due to her sudden passing.
