[SBS Star] '42' Kim Min-hee Pregnant with '64' Director Hong Sang-soo's Child After 9-Year Affair

Actress Kim Min-hee is reportedly expecting a child with director Hong Sang-soo, with whom she has been in a relationship for nine years.

According to news outlet Dispatch on January 17, Kim Min-hee conceived naturally last summer, and the baby is due this spring.

The report states that Hong Sang-soo has been actively involved throughout the pregnancy, accompanying Kim Min-hee to appointments, tests, and check-ups. 
Kim Min-hee and Hong Sang-soo currently live together in Hanam, Gyeonggi-do. 

Hong Sang-soo moved out of his home in Apgujeong, Gangnam, where he had lived with his legal wife, and relocated to Hanam, near Kim Min-hee's parents' home. 

The couple is said to lead a quiet life, shopping at local supermarkets and dining out at restaurants in Seoul.
Kim Min-hee and Hong Sang-soo first met while working on the 2015 film "Right Now, Wrong Then" and eventually started dating, overcoming their 22-year age gap.

They publicly confirmed their relationship at the premiere of the 2017 film "On the Beach at Night Alone," describing themselves as "in love." 

Despite being together for nearly a decade, they remain unmarried and have no legal ties.

Hong Sang-soo, who has been married since 1985 and has a daughter, is still legally wed to his estranged wife.
In November 2016, Hong Sang-soo filed for divorce, but the Seoul Family Court dismissed the case in 2019. He chose not to appeal the decision.

Through his legal team, however, Hong Sang-soo stated that his marriage was effectively over, adding, "The fact that the marital relationship has completely ended remains unchanged."

He also hinted at the possibility of refiling for divorce in the future when conditions are more favorable.
