Back in 2018, Jung Woo Sung participated in the photo exhibition "The Letters from Angels," organized by photographer Cho Se-hyun and the Korean Welfare Services.
"The Letters from Angels" campaign, which ran for 16 years starting in 2003, aimed to raise public awareness about domestic adoption and single mothers.
In a behind-the-scenes video released on the Marie Claire Korea YouTube channel, Jung Woo Sung shared, "During the shoots, I kept thinking, 'Am I really qualified to be part of this campaign?' I felt a lot of pressure."
He further explained, "I mean, this is about the life of a human being. It's about one person's existence and their life, addressing awareness and issues across different aspects of society. It's not something simple."
On November 24, media outlets revealed that Jung Woo Sung is the biological father of Moon Gabi's son, born in March this year.
Shortly after the news broke, Jung Woo Sung's agency, Artist Company, confirmed it, stating, "Jung Woo Sung is discussing the best possible arrangements for the child's upbringing, and he will do his best for the child as a father."
It was later revealed that Jung Woo Sung and Moon Gabi are in disagreement over the issue of marriage.
Moon Gabi is said to want marriage, while Jung Woo Sung has no intention of marrying and has expressed a stance of providing financial support for the child only.
Given his past involvement in campaigns supporting domestic adoption and single mothers, many feel it is hypocritical for him to leave his own child without a traditional family structure and make Moon Gabi a single mother.
He is facing significant backlash for this at the moment.
