On November 21, a press event for the upcoming film 'About Family' was held at Lotte Cinema World Tower in Songpa-gu, Seoul.
Director Yang Woo-seok and the cast members, actors Kim Yun Seok, Lee Seung Gi, and Park Su Young, attended the event.
'About Family' is a family comedy about a father and son relationship.
'Ham Mu-ok' (Kim Yun Seok), who owns a popular dumpling restaurant, has a concern that seems only to be growing.
His only child, 'Ham Mun-seok' (Lee Seung Gi), left home and took the path of a Buddhist monk, shattering his expectations for the family name to carry on.
Then, one day, 'Ham Mu-ok' gets visited by his grandchildren, whom he did not know existed, and their unexpected co-living condition begins.

"My relationship with my father is quite similar to that of 'Ham Mu-ok' and 'Ham Mun-seok' in the movie.", the actor remarked.
"I think many father-son relationships are not very affectionate. I mean, real-life fathers and sons don't talk to each other as much as they do in those heartwarming public campaign ads."

"Although most fathers and sons spend much time together at home, it can be awkward and embarrassing to discuss personal matters with each other."
"My relationship with my father hasn't been warm and fuzzy. There weren't a lot of conversations between us."
"But as I've gotten older, married, and welcomed a child, I've grown closer to my parents. I understand them better now.", the actor concluded with a smile.

This February, the couple welcomed their first child, a daughter.
Meanwhile, 'About Family' is to hit theaters on December 11.
