[SBS Star] "I'm Jealous of Them" Ha Seok-jin Expresses His Curiosity about Dating Apps

Actor Ha Seok-jin shared his insights on interpersonal relationships and his interest in exploring dating apps.

On November 29, Ha Seok-jin guested on YouTuber Mickey Kim's channel and talked about his personal experiences with relationships.

Ha Seok-jin said, "People think the bonds you made during mandatory military service will last forever because you spent two years with them in close quarters."

"However, these types of relationships are often anchored in the past. Conversations with them only revolve around shared memories, such as, 'Do you remember that guy from that time?'. I have fun spending time with them, but it's not permanent. That kind of relationship doesn't bring me happiness.", he said.
When asked what makes him end relationships, Ha Seok-jin replied, "There haven't been many connections in my life that I've felt the need to cut off. There were occasional requests for money that came out of the blue, though."

"I have reservations about keeping connections with people with whom I can only talk about the past. The people I want to keep in touch with are the ones I can exchange visions for the future."

He continued, "Some feel like they have to keep relationships, even if they bring negative emotions, in the hope that it might help them in the future. However, it usually doesn't do you any good. I believe it's better to focus on the people you enjoy being around instead of those who make you feel uncomfortable."
The conversation then turned to romantic relationships, beginning with Ha Seok-jin's thoughts on dating apps.

"Dating apps are not an option for me because of my job. I feel jealous when I see my friends using those apps.", the actor said and added, "I really want to try this.", showing a finger-swiping motion the users on dating apps do to accept or reject a profile on dating apps.

Then he talked about his dating life, saying, "Dating is not easy. It's hard to know what factors will ignite or diminish romantic feelings. I wish I could be more open-minded when dating. I tend to overthink my emotions, constantly questioning if I have romantic feelings for this person. Perhaps that's why I'm still single. I sometimes feel like I need to get out of my mind."
