[SBS Star] Police to Request Pretrial Arrest Warrant for Park Yu Chun

Police has requested a pretrial arrest warrant for K-pop boy group JYJ's member Park Yu Chun.

According to Gyeonggi Nambu Provincial Police Agency on April 23, their narcotics control unit submitted a request to the prosecution for a writ against Park Yu Chun.

The detention warrant was requested due to the potential concern of Park destroying evidence or fleeing.

Park Yu Chun is currently facing allegations of purchasing and using methamphetamine with his ex-fiancée Hwang Hana in 2015.
Although he has denied the allegations, police obtained CCTV footage showing him picking up something after sending money to a bank account suspected to belong to a drug dealer.
The police is waiting for the results of Park Yu Chun's hair follicle test from the National Forensic Service, and the court hearing for Park Yu Chun's arrest will be held as early as Wednesday.
