Group KARA has cancelled all sessions of their fan meeting scheduled to be held in Japan next month.
According to local Japanese media on June 1, KARA has cancelled "2026 KARA JAPAN FANMEETING : Hello, KAMILIA!", which was scheduled to take place at Tokyo Arena in Japan on July 4 and 5. The event, which was planned to run for a total of four sessions over two days, has been entirely cancelled, and already purchased tickets will be fully refunded.
The organizers cited local circumstances as the reason but did not disclose the specific background behind the cancellation.
This fan meeting had garnered high expectations as it was set to be KARA's first meeting with local fans in about three years, following their fan meeting in Japan to commemorate their 15th debut anniversary in 2023.
Previously, in April, KARA delighted fans by sharing a photo of the members gathered together for the first time in a while to celebrate their 19th debut anniversary.
At the time, Park Gyu-ri posted a photo on her personal social media featuring Han Seung-yeon, Nicole, Kang Ji-young, and Heo Young-ji. Dressed in comfortable attire, the members celebrated their 19th anniversary in front of a cake, and Kang Ji-young showed off their special teamwork by writing, "Happy 19th birthday."
Having debuted in 2007, KARA established themselves as a representative second-generation girl group by releasing numerous hits such as "Pretty Girl," "Mister," "Lupin," "Jumping," "Step," and "Pandora." In particular, "Mister" achieved massive success in Japan, setting a record as the first Korean girl group to perform at the Tokyo Dome.
