K-pop group MAMAMOO is returning as a full group for the first time in approximately three years and eight months.
MAMAMOO officially kicked off their comeback countdown by releasing the promotion scheduler for their upcoming special single, "4WARD," on their official social media channels on May 21.
The released scheduler caught fans' attention with a sophisticated aesthetic reminiscent of a fashion magazine cover, featuring four empty chairs arranged side by side. The image is accompanied by the powerful phrase "FOUR AS ONE. MOVING 4WARD," emphasizing the message that the four members are reuniting to embark on a brand-new journey.
According to the scheduler, MAMAMOO will build up anticipation by sequentially releasing various teaser content, starting with a mood teaser on May 23, followed by concept photos, lyric spoilers, film photos, and a music video teaser.
The special single "4WARD" combines the number "4"—which symbolizes MAMAMOO—with the word "FORWARD," representing a new chapter the four members will write together. Most notably, this comeback is drawing immense attention as it marks their first full-group activity in about three years and eight months since the release of "MIC ON" in October 2022.
In the meantime, the four memebers have proven their strong presence in various fields, including music, variety shows, and performance, through their respective solo activities. Fans are highly anticipating the synergy the four members will showcase on stage as they reunite with their unique colors and enhanced capabilities.
Along with the release of the special single, MAMAMOO will also embark on a large-scale world tour. They will kick off their global project with the "MAMAMOO 2026 WORLD TOUR [4WARD]" at the Olympic Hall in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul, from June 19 to 21. Following the Seoul concerts, they plan to tour major cities in Asia and the Americas to meet fans worldwide.
Meanwhile, MAMAMOO's special single "4WARD" will be released on various music streaming platforms on June 4 at 6 p.m. KST.
