Comedian Lee Young-ja shared a touching congratulatory message at the wedding of Choi Joon-hee, the daughter of her late best friend, Choi Jin-sil.
In a wedding video recently released by Choi Joon-hee, Lee Young-ja, with teary eyes, said, "Joon-hee, congratulations, and I hope you are always happy." She added, "I wish your mom could have been here... In her place, I congratulate you even more sincerely, a thousand times over. Joon-hee, congratulations. I will always pray for you," leaving many deeply moved.
Lee Young-ja was well-known as one of the closest friends of the late Choi Jin-sil in the entertainment industry. In particular, when Choi Jin-sil successfully made a comeback in the drama 'My Rosy Life' after her divorce, the two maintained a special friendship by appearing together on variety shows. Even after Choi Jin-sil passed away, Lee continued to honor her memory by attending memorial services. Notably, it is known that when Choi Joon-hee was hospitalized following conflicts with her grandmother, Lee Young-ja personally registered as her guardian and stayed by her side.
The wedding was also attended by the so-called "Choi Jin-sil Division," a group of close friends who were dear to the late actress. Uhm Jung-hwa, Lee So-ra, Hong Jin-kyung, Jung Sun-hee, and Lee Young-ja were among the guests who gathered to celebrate Choi Joon-hee’s new beginning.
