Um Tae-goo Reveals the Secret Behind His 'Wild Sing' Photo Shoot Scene: "It Was All CGI"

Actor Um Tae-goo has confessed that he relied on the power of CGI for his daring photo shoot scene in the film 'Wild Sing'.

Attending the press preview and conference for 'Wild Sing' held at Lotte Cinema in Lotte World Tower, Seoul, on the afternoon of the 18th, Um Tae-goo faced several questions about how he stepped out of his reputation as one of the entertainment industry's most introverted stars to showcase such a wide range of talents.

In the film, Um Tae-goo plays 'Sang-gu', a rapper in the co-ed group Triangle. The scene in question, which features a revealing photo shoot, highlights Sang-gu's career path as a solo artist following the group's disbandment.

Regarding the scene, Um Tae-goo shyly admitted, "The upper-body exposure scene was done with the help of CGI. The sensitive areas were CGI," adding, "I filmed it while wearing pants, and they removed them using CGI."
Beyond this, Um Tae-goo also showed off his rapping skills by performing freestyle raps multiple times throughout the movie. He shattered his previously quiet image by unleashing his hidden charisma during the scenes featuring Triangle's music show performances.

'Wild Sing' is a comedy film about 'Triangle', a three-member co-ed dance group that once swept the music scene but disbanded overnight after getting caught up in an unexpected incident. The story follows their reckless challenge to seize a chance at a comeback 20 years later, and it is set to be released on June 3.
