While former Jewelry member Seo Inyoung is enjoying a second heyday with her candid charm, Ha Ju Yun is also making waves by sharing her relatable, down-to-earth life as an office worker.
In a video recently released on her YouTube channel Ha revealed her life as a 5th-year office worker at a kitchenware showroom in Seongsu-dong. After wrapping up her glamorous career as a member of Jewelry, Ha has worked part-time at clothing stores and cafes, and is currently employed as a showroom manager for a French-inspired kitchen brand in Seongsu-dong.
Ha shared, "I applied for everything I could on job search sites, from bakery assistant roles. I couldn't exactly write 'former Jewelry member' on my resume. My photos were all very 'celebrity-like,' so I tried to find the most ordinary ones I could." She added with a calm honesty that resonated with many, "At first, my pride was hurt. I wondered if I had really come to this. But I had to survive, and I had to do something."
As a 5th-year office worker, Ha has been diligent, never once being late for her manager duties. She mentioned that she primarily uses the subway, adding, "I use the Climate Card, and it saves me 7,000 won. It's really great. I didn't think I qualified as a 'youth' at first, so I didn't apply, but it turns out it works based on international age. It feels good when it registers as 'youth,' but I don't think I'll qualify starting next year," she said with her signature easygoing wit.
Ha also opened up about the high cost of living in the restaurant district around her workplace in Seongsu-dong.
"The area around Seoul Forest is too expensive. Even a bowl of sundaeguk (blood sausage soup) feels like a burden if it costs over 10,000 won," she said, showing how she scouts for restaurants where she can eat for under 10,000 won. Ha revealed her practical mindset as an office worker, noting, "For an office worker, a 2,000 won difference is significant."
Having experienced the peak of Jewelry's success in the past, Ha also reflected on marriage and her future. She said, "I don't have a strong desire to get married yet, and my mom tells me to just earn my own money, enjoy life, and live comfortably." However, she also admitted to having realistic concerns, mentioning that she had even emailed an application to the dating show 'I Am Solo.'

Born in 1986, Ha Ju Yun is the daughter of actor Ha Jae-young and joined Jewelry as a 3rd-generation member in 2008. She is currently communicating with fans through her YouTube channel.
