TV personality Lee Kyung-kyu (65) has officially addressed recent rumors regarding his health, stating that they are "not true at all."
The speculation began after Lee appeared in a video titled "Half the Population Has Diabetes? Lee Kyung-kyu, Who Underwent Surgery for Diabetes Complications, Investigates the Truth About Blood Sugar," uploaded to his YouTube channel 'God Kyung-kyu' on the 7th. Viewers expressed concern after noticing that he seemed to have slightly slurred speech and slower reactions than usual.
As the controversy grew, Lee’s agency, ADG Company, dismissed the rumors on the 12th, stating, "The health rumors are completely groundless." They added, "He was likely not in his best condition during the shoot due to a lack of sleep. He is in perfectly good health and is even scheduled to host a live broadcast today."
Lee Kyung-kyu is scheduled to appear as the main host for the live broadcast of KBS1's '2026 FIFA World Cup North America D-30: For Victory!' on the evening of the 12th.
Lee has previously mentioned health concerns on various programs. He underwent a stent procedure for myocardial infarction symptoms in 2013, and last year, he revealed on tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' that he had even undergone an MRI scan due to health rumors. At the time, he reassured fans by saying, "The test results showed that I am perfectly fine."
