Appearing on the May 7th broadcast of SBS Power FM’s 'WENDY's Young Street', CORTIS shared their honest and witty stories just after taking the top spot on 'M Countdown'.
Member JUHOON, who was moved to tears during their win last week, shared his heartfelt gratitude once again, saying, "We are truly thankful to our fans."
The conversation naturally turned to the massive popularity of their hit "REDRED," which is currently enjoying a viral resurgence. CORTIS brought laughter to the studio with their quirky response: "We’ll only truly believe we’ve made it when we hear a piano remix of our song playing at a dermatology clinic."
When asked about the most memorable celebrity 'shout-outs,' they named national athletes Choi Ga-on and Kim Gili, followed by BTS's JUNGKOOK, who recently performed the "REDRED" choreography at the airport. "We were so grateful that he danced to our song," CORTIS said, visibly moved. "We never in our wildest dreams imagined it would happen at an airport."
They also revealed the secret to their endless energy. Leader MARTIN shared, "I still live by the motto from my kindergarten classroom: 'If you can't change the situation, change your mindset,'" delivering both a moment of unexpected inspiration and laughter.
