Actors Lim Ji-yeon and Heo Nam-jun of 'My Royal Nemesis' have opened up about their romantic chemistry on screen.

On the afternoon of the 7th, at the press conference for the new SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'My Royal Nemesis' (written by Kang Hyun-joo, directed by Han Tae-seop) held at the SBS building in Mok-dong, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, Lim Ji-yeon and Heo Nam-jun spoke about the chemistry they felt while acting together.

First, Heo Nam-jun expressed great satisfaction with his collaboration with Lim Ji-yeon, saying, "It was incredible," and adding, "It’s one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in my life."

Heo Nam-jun continued, "She has such a great personality. Even in very exhausting situations, as soon as the director called 'cut,' we would always talk and joke around. I felt that as we went on, we became more comfortable and natural with each other," and confidently added, "I’m very confident in our chemistry."

'My Royal Nemesis' is a war-like romantic comedy about Shin Seo-ri (played by Lim Ji-yeon), an unknown actress possessed by the soul of the legendary Joseon-era villain Kang Dan-sim (played by Lim Ji-yeon), and Cha Se-gye (played by Heo Nam-jun), a conglomerate heir dubbed a "monster born of capitalism."

Lim Ji-yeon plays the dual roles of Kang Dan-sim and Shin Seo-ri, while Heo Nam-jun plays the villainous third-generation chaebol Cha Se-gye. As the drama is a romantic comedy, the romantic chemistry between the two leads is of the utmost importance.

Lim Ji-yeon also expressed her satisfaction with their partnership, saying, "I can't even imagine anyone other than Nam-jun playing Cha Se-gye. I’m so glad it was Nam-jun." She added, "There were many times when I was exhausted because Shin Seo-ri had so many scenes, but Nam-jun would encourage me while in character as Se-gye. He was my vitamin, helping me overcome the difficult filming process both in terms of acting and morale. I’m grateful to him, and in a way, I’m even proud of him. It’s actually sad to think about parting ways."

Lim Ji-yeon then expressed her confidence, stating, "(Our great chemistry) will all be reflected in the drama. You can definitely look forward to our chemistry."

'My Royal Nemesis,' featuring the romantic comedy performances of "Joseon villain" Lim Ji-yeon and "villainous chaebol" Heo Nam-jun, will premiere on Friday, the 8th, at 9:50 PM.
