Han Ji-min recently donated 50 million won to the international relief organization JTS (Join Together Society). The donation is set to be used for practical relief efforts, including eradicating hunger and providing educational opportunities for children around the world.
Han Ji-min's charitable work is even more impactful as it goes beyond simple monetary donations. On the 2nd, she personally participated in a street fundraising event held in Myeong-dong, Seoul, to combat poverty and encourage citizens to join the cause.
The connection between Han Ji-min and JTS began in 2007, marking its 19th year this year. Every year, around Children's Day and the end of the year, she has taken the lead in campaigns by heading out to the streets to communicate directly with citizens, despite her busy schedule. Notably, four years ago on Children's Day, even when the scheduled street fundraising was canceled due to heavy rain, she demonstrated her unwavering sincerity by donating 50 million won through an online fundraiser.
This campaign was conducted jointly by JTS Korea and 'Gilbut,' a social service group of broadcast, film, and performing arts professionals. This activity, which has been held annually since 2004, delivers hope to marginalized children worldwide under the theme, 'Please help children in areas of war, civil strife, disaster, and poverty.'
