On the 20th, JISOO’s label BLISSOO issued an official statement through legal representative Attorney Eun Hyun-ho of Kim & Chang, saying, “Some media reports, online communities, and social media posts are recklessly defaming JISOO and BLISSOO by linking them to matters involving the artist’s family or by spreading information that is not true. We express strong regret.”
The statement continued, “The issues currently being raised are completely unrelated to the artist or BLISSOO,” adding, “Much of what is circulating online is unverified speculation or outright falsehood.”
One notable point: JISOO also rejected claims about her relationship with certain family members.
According to her side, “JISOO became a trainee at a young age, moved out early, and has lived apart from her family for a long time. She is not in a position to know or be involved in that individual’s private life.” They added, “While she received limited advice from family during the formation of BLISSOO, no family member has ever been paid or taken part in decision-making. The company has been and continues to be operated fully independently of her family.”
They further stated, “Claims that ‘she founded the company with her family’ or that ‘the individual in question is an executive or CEO’ are completely false. That person has no legal or managerial relationship with BLISSOO.”
BLISSOO also vowed a firm legal response to the spread of false information and defamation. The legal representative said, “Continuing to spread inaccuracies or tying the artist’s name and image to unrelated matters is a clear rights violation,” adding, “We will take all possible civil and criminal actions immediately, with no leniency or settlements.”
Previously, media reports stated that a man in his 30s, identified as A and described as a family member of a famous girl group idol, was arrested by police on the 15th after allegedly molesting a female internet broadcast BJ, identified as B, whom he had invited home after purchasing a ‘meal date voucher.’ A reportedly acknowledged physical contact but denied any coercion.
