On the April 14 episode of SBS’s "Whenever Possible," co-hosts Yoo Jae-suk and Yoo Yeon-seok welcome Lee Kwang-soo and Park Bo-young as “Whenever Friends.” The crew heads to the Guri area, serving up major best-friend energy.
During the pre-taped shoot, Yoo Jae-suk beamed at their entrance: “Kwang-soo, who started 'Whenever Possible' with us, is here.” As the show’s first-ever “Whenever Friend,” Lee got teased right away. “We’ve got a big star and a mid-star today,” Yoo joked, poking fun at him. When Lee turned sentimental under the full cherry blossoms―“You can only see them now”―Yoo shut it down in classic bestie fashion: “You can see them again next year,” cracking everyone up.
Park Bo-young then spiced things up by revealing how Lee Kwang-soo keeps his juniors in line. “He ‘trains’ his juniors. If you reply late, he scolds you and says you’ve changed,” she shared. Yoo Jae-suk quipped that Lee was simply passing down what his own seniors did to him. Lee admitted with a laugh, “Now I get why they did that to me. There’s a little thrill to it,” sending Yoo into fits of laughter.
Another highlight: Yoo Yeon-seok and Park Bo-young reunite on camera for the first time in 14 years. The two previously worked together in the film A Werewolf Boy as Soon-yi and Ji-tae. “It’s been 14 years since we met through a project. I also saw Hyang-gi recently,” Yoo added, name-dropping actor Kim Hyang-gi, who played Park’s younger sister in the movie. Watching this, Lee Kwang-soo jokingly burst with jealousy: “Why are we talking about Hyang-gi when I’m right here?”
The Season 4 finale of "Whenever Possible"―featuring Yoo Jae-suk and his beloved “dongsaengs” Yoo Yeon-seok, Lee Kwang-soo, and Park Bo-young―airs Tuesday, April 14 at 9 p.m. on SBS.
