On the 23rd, Jellyfish Entertainment stated, "After careful discussion, our company and Kim Se-jeong have agreed to conclude our 10-year journey together and end her exclusive contract."
They added, "The time we walked together, built on deep trust and affection for each other, was truly irreplaceable. We will cherish the passion and effort Kim Se-jeong has shown, and all the memories made together with fans," and continued, "We express our sincere gratitude to Kim Se-jeong for being with Jellyfish for so long, and we wholeheartedly support the new journey ahead of her."
Kim Se-jeong, who is departing Jellyfish Entertainment, is reportedly set to join BH Entertainment, home to Lee Byung-hun, Han Ji-min, Park Bo-young, and Kim Go-eun.
Kim Se-jeong debuted in 2016 through Mnet’s "Produce 101" and was active as a member of the project group I.O.I. She later promoted as a member of gugudan and as a solo artist. She also gained popularity as an actor through dramas including "School 2017," "The Uncanny Counter," "Business Proposal", and "Moon River." In May, I.O.I is set for a full-group comeback to mark the group’s 10th debut anniversary.
