JENNIE Pleads "Please, Please Stop" as Crowd Swarms Her in Paris; Viral Video Sparks Fan vs. Reseller Debate

A video showing BLACKPINK’s JENNIE caught in a stressful crowd situation on the streets of Paris has gone viral.

On March 9, clips spread across social media and online communities of JENNIE being surrounded by people asking for autographs and photos in central Paris. The footage was reportedly shared by an international entertainment news account with about 580,000 followers.

In the video, JENNIE is walking with her team when multiple people swarm her. Some compliment her―“Your CHANEL jacket looks great,” “How does it feel to be in Paris?”―but as more people rush in at once asking for autographs and photos, moving forward becomes difficult.

Her team tries to de-escalate, asking, “If she signs, will you really stop following?” JENNIE is heard saying, “Please, please stop. This is really stressful. Please respect our privacy.”

JENNIE signs for a few people on the spot, but the requests keep coming. Some ask for additional autographs even after getting one, and she politely turns down photo requests. “I’m signing right now, so no photos,” she says, while a staffer adds, “You already got one,” to discourage further demands.

After the video spread, many online comments sided with JENNIE, saying things like “Respect her privacy―she’s a person first,” and calling the persistent autograph requests excessive.

Among fans, some argued the crowd might not have been genuine fans but autograph resellers or paparazzi trying to profit from photos. In the clip, one person appears to ask for another signature after already receiving one, saying, “This one’s for my little sister.”

JENNIE is currently a global ambassador for CHANEL. She departed for France via Incheon International Airport on March 7 to attend the brand’s 2026 Fall/Winter Ready-to-Wear Collection show, held in Paris on the afternoon of March 9 local time.

That same day, JENNIE’s agency OA Entertainment announced it will take legal action against the spread of false information and invasions of privacy. “Malicious slander and baseless speculative posts have continued across online communities and social media,” the company stated, adding it will pursue strong civil and criminal measures with no leniency or settlements.
