On the February 10 episode of the SBS variety show "Whenever Possible", hosts Yoo Jae-suk and Yoo Yeon-seok team up with comedians Song Eun-yi and Kim Sook to visit the “Tteum” owners in Sangam-dong and deliver a hit of healing dopamine.
The quartet then dives into a next-level “hellish training” challenge. Seated on wheeled chairs, they attempt a balloon-relay game. Practice barely begins before Song Eun-yi takes a comic tumble, sending Yoo Jae-suk into fits of laughter. And that’s just the warm-up. The four bend back nearly 180 degrees and throw their entire bodies into passing the balloon, turning the set into a frenzy. Watching the near-circus-level commitment, Yoo Jae-suk cracks, “What are we, a troupe of acrobats?”
Amid the chaos, Song Eun-yi and Kim Sook’s soulmates-in-comedy chemistry shines. Like a seasoned duo trading punch lines, every balloon pass lands perfectly, drawing gasps. Impressed by the besties’ trust and timing, Yoo Jae-suk smiles: “You two are going to be sweet grandmas together.”
But even this power pair hits a wall―namely Yoo Yeon-seok’s footwork. At 183 cm, his single stride is a “no way to catch up” distance for the shorter Song Eun-yi and Kim Sook. Finally, as Yoo Yeon-seok speeds out of reach, Song Eun-yi explodes, “I’m barely moving here!” sending the set into laughter.
Yoo Jae-suk also steps in as the unexpected closer. With ultra-precise hand control, he masters the art of keeping the balloon afloat. “Sneaky but flawless,” says Song Eun-yi, giving a thumbs-up to his almost magical control. With Song Eun-yi and Kim Sook’s ping-pong tosses syncing with Yoo Jae-suk’s balloon finesse, the team unlocks a dream synergy―prompting Yoo Yeon-seok to marvel, “That 30-year chemistry isn’t going anywhere.”
Will 30-year friends Yoo Jae-suk, Song Eun-yi, and Kim Sook―plus youngest member Yoo Yeon-seok―overcome the height gap and deliver another legendary dopamine moment? Their all-in struggle plays out on "Whenever Possible", airing February 10 at 9 p.m.
