On the Feb. 10 episode of SBS’s "Whenever Possible", co-MCs Yoo Jae-suk and Yoo Yeon-seok team up with comedians Song Eun-yi and Kim Sook to visit the “Gap Owners” in Sangam-dong and deliver some healing dopamine.
Yoo Jae-suk grabs attention by finding an unexpected talent 35 years into his career. The mission for Yoo Jae-suk, Song Eun-yi, Kim Sook, and Yoo Yeon-seok: “plastic bottle baseball,” a game where you use a baseball to blast plastic bottles. Adding to the fun, SBS Sports casters Jung Woo-young and Lee Jun-hyuk join as this episode’s “Gap Owners.”
“I used to be in a baseball club back in the day,” Yoo says confidently―then stuns everyone with surprise catcher-level skills. Practically every throw he makes turns into a hit, drawing cheers. Noticing his sharp snap on the ball, Song Eun-yi gushes, “Lots of people find their true calling later in life.”
Buoyed by nonstop praise from his close friends, Yoo declares, “I’m the guy who makes history.” He doesn’t just pitch―he’s sprinting to fetch balls the second the game ends, dubbing himself “Gong Jae-seok” ('gong' means 'ball' in Korean). Riding that momentum, Kim Sook unleashes a powerhouse swing and suddenly emerges as “Joseon’s No. 3 hitter,” prompting even Lee Jun-hyuk to marvel, “She’s got big-slugger vibes.”
With flawless tag-team chemistry from “Gong Jae-seok” and “Joseon’s No. 3 hitter,” heart-pounding highlight-reel moments follow. Jung Woo-young roars, “This is the Korean Series.” Will Yoo Jae-suk shed the “Lee Jung-hoo of practice” nickname and deliver a miracle home run? Find out how the nail-biter round of plastic bottle baseball ends on "Whenever Possible".
"Whenever Possible" airs Tuesday, Feb. 10 at 9 p.m.
