Tak was referring to "Invitation from Bachelor Again." He ribbed his former co-host Lee―who remarried last year―by saying the show wrapped after the wedding, and joked that landing "Real Talk" felt like “a gift from above” because he gets to work again. “But I’m terrified,” he teased. “I’m teaming up again with the ‘show killer.’”
Lee took the banter in stride. “It’s tough every week,” he said. “Tak keeps telling me, ‘Because of you, 'Invitation from Bachelor Again' got canceled.’ I got married last year and, yeah, I was basically ‘cut’ right after. I felt bad―like it was all my fault. But now that I’ve been ‘re-hired,’ I finally have something to tell my wife―and something to say back to Jae-hoon, too,” he joked.
Fresh off winning the top honor at the SBS Entertainment Awards, Lee also spoke about the stakes. “If you wonder, ‘Why put me on this show?’ I think the reason they gave me last year’s grand prize was their way of saying, ‘SBS cares about this program―take responsibility and give it your all,’” he shared. “It’s been a run of good news since last year, and I’m told more good things are coming. I’m hoping the first big one is this show hitting the Jackpot.”
"Real Talk" is a character-driven talk variety where hosts Tak Jae-hoon, Lee Sang-min, Lee Su-ji, and EXO’s KAI slip into wild, alternate personas each week for off-the-wall conversations. Expect bold concepts that shake up the traditional talk-show format with fresh, unpredictable fun.
"Real Talk" premieres Monday, Feb. 2, at 10:10 p.m. on SBS.
