On the Jan. 26 episode of SBS’ “Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny,” Kim Ji-yoo appeared as a special MC.
During the show, the hosts pressed Kim on rumors that her taste in men is questionable.
“I once picked senior comedian Kim Ki-ri as my ideal type,” she admitted. Kim Gu-ra teased, “So you go for looks,” and Kim agreed with a laugh.
Kim shared she tends to like younger, handsome types. Hong Yoon-hwa playfully shot back, “Have you ever actually dated a handsome guy? The ones I know weren’t exactly heartthrobs,” drawing laughs.
“He had a cute charm,” Kim defended, a bit flustered. Kim Gu-ra deadpanned, “Cuteness is subjective,” sparking more laughter.
Kim went on, “I used to date younger guys a lot, and somewhere along the way I’d start feeling sorry for them―and end up opening my wallet,” recalling relationships where she did most of the heavy lifting.
Shin Giru chimed in, “I’ve loved like that, too―you just want to protect them,” echoing Kim’s sentiment, and Kim nodded along.
Kim Gu-ra then cut in: “Save that love story for YouTube.” Seo Jang-hoon added, “No one’s that curious about Shin Giru’s tragic romance.” Shin joked, “Got it―I’ll suffer in silence,” capping the segment with a laugh.
