‘No Tail to Tell’ is flexing its buzz on both domestic and global charts. On Good Data Corporation’s official FUNdex for Week 3 of January, the show debuted at No. 1 in the TV drama buzz category, while Kim Hye-yoon landed at No. 4 among most-talked-about cast members. On Netflix’s Today’s Top 10 in Korea (TV), the series ranked No. 2, underscoring its breakout heat.
According to global OTT tracker FlixPatrol, as of January 18 the show entered Netflix’s Global Top 10 TV Shows at No. 6 and hit No. 1 in five countries, including Peru―strong early signs of worldwide momentum.
Blending a distinctly Korean folklore icon with a fresh, playful spin, the drama reimagines the gumiho myth through an unapologetically modern lens. Its singular heroine―a “Gen Z gumiho” who wants nothing to do with humanity―sparks an irresistibly odd-couple dynamic with an ordinary human she initially can’t stand, setting up a witty, fate-tangled, enemies-to-lovers romance that keeps viewers guessing.
The chemistry is a major draw. Kim Hye-yoon unveils a delightfully new side as the poised yet sly gumiho Eun-ho, while Lomon channels both boyish charm and cool maturity as soccer star Kang Si-yeol. Their razor-sharp banter from the very first encounter hints at rom-com fireworks that should only burn brighter with each episode.
