Global buzz is building for BTS’s upcoming world tour.

Kicking off in Goyang, South Korea, on April 9, 11-12, the group will launch a massive trek across North America, Europe, South America, and Asia. The itinerary currently spans 79 shows in 34 cities―poised to be the largest tour in K-pop history. Major outlets are already stoking anticipation.

People and USA Today have spotlighted the tour news, while CNN noted that “BTS, the act that helped transform K-pop into a worldwide cultural phenomenon, is back.” Forbes praised it as “one of the most expansive tours in the group’s history,” predicting it will “set a new bar for global tours by Korean artists.” The outlet added that the stadium-focused run puts BTS “shoulder to shoulder with the world’s biggest acts.”

Argentina’s Clarín called the Buenos Aires stop “more than a concert―a cultural event,” adding that the timing, “as the capital turns purple with blossoms,” makes for a picture-perfect welcome. The tour will mark BTS’s first-ever visit to Argentina.

Ahead of the tour, BTS will release their fifth studio album on March 20―their first full-group project in nearly four years. Teaser billboards featuring the new album logo have rolled out in New York, Tokyo, London, and Paris, after debuting near Seoul’s Sejong Center by Gwanghwamun Plaza. The bold visuals are spreading fast across social media, turning heads worldwide.

The 14-track set aims to capture “BTS right now,” as the seven members channel the candid emotions and reflections they’ve gathered along the way.
