Billed as a feel-good show that turns everyday in-between moments into lucky breaks, "Whenever Possible" has dominated its Tuesday slot since launch―leading metropolitan ratings and the key 20-49 demo, and even topping all entertainment and drama programs with 20-49 viewers.
Across its run, more than 60 “gap friends” (guest stars) have dropped by―from Lee Kwang-soo to Pak Se-ri; entertainers like Cha Tae-hyun and Lee Seo-jin; music acts Davichi and duo Jung Jae-hyung & Lee Juck; screen favorites Han Ji-min & Lee Jun-hyuk, Cha Seung-won & Gong Myoung, and Son Seok-ku & Kim Da-mi. The rapid-fire banter between hosts Yoo Jae-suk and Yoo Yeon-seok―the “Yoo-Yoo” duo―has been a consistent talking point. The most recent January 13 episode with Kwon Sang-woo and Moon Chae-won hit a season-four high, leading the 20-49 demo at 1.8% with a 4.4% household share and ranking No. 1 among Tuesday variety shows.
Now, the show is unveiling the first wave of its 2026 guest lineup. Following season four pairs Lee Je-hoon & Pyo Ye-jin, Choo Young-woo & Shin Si-a, Cha Tae-hyun & Kim Do-hoon, and Kwon Sang-woo & Moon Chae-won, NMIXX’s HAEWON and SULLYOON are set to bring high-voltage energy and playful charm to Tuesday nights. Fans are especially curious to see what sparks fly when veteran MC Yoo Jae-suk teams up with rising variety idol HAEWON―an intergenerational matchup built for memes.
Actors Lee Sun-bin and Kim Young-dae are also on deck. Kim’s rare variety appearance is already piquing interest, while Yoo Jae-suk’s on-camera reunion with Lee Sun-bin is another highlight. Lee―longtime partner of Yoo’s beloved "Running Man" alum Lee Kwang-soo―has been name-checked on the show before, and Yoo has often joked he played matchmaker for the couple. Consider this a worlds-collide moment in the making.
Anticipation is likewise sky-high for appearances by Jo In-sung, Park Jung-min, and Park Hae-joon. Expect Jo―bestie to series mainstay Cha Tae-hyun―to show off surprisingly sharp variety instincts, while Park Jung-min (who lit up the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards stage) and “Everyman Yang Kwan-sik” scene-stealer Park Hae-joon bring quick wit and easygoing charm. Paired with the Yoo-Yoo duo, this lineup promises a lively, freewheeling roundtable of laughs.
"Whenever Possible" airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. KST.
