The new season promises major shake-ups in both rosters and transfers. The headline move: FC Top Girl’s ace Kim Bo-kyung has transferred to FC Balladream. In the preview, host Bae Sung-jae asked how FC Top Girl captain Chae Ri-na felt about losing her MVP. “She’s like a little sister to me ― practically my comfort doll,” Chae said, acknowledging how attached she’d been to the star player.
Then came the pivot. “I told production straight up: if we don’t keep this lineup, I’m out. But Kim Bo-kyung is gone now,” Chae added, before flashing her competitive side. When asked if she’d go in for a tackle should they meet on the pitch, she didn’t hesitate: “No mercy.”
“Reboot Episode 0” also served up some levity with a tongue-in-cheek “best-looking coach” vote. In a surprise result, coach Lee Keun-ho took the top spot with two votes ― FC World Class even explained, “He’s exactly the type international fans like,” drawing big laughs on set. Meanwhile, Baek Ji-hoon, often labeled the resident heartthrob, earned just one vote and jokingly protested, “Losing to Lee Keun-ho ― that’s what really stings. Everyone else, fine.”
Ahead of the premiere, the show’s YouTube channel is rolling out “Episode 0” segments covering revamped team lineups, transfer backstories, and candid reactions from coaches and players ― all fueling anticipation.
Stronger squads, tougher players, and eight freshly retooled teams kick off tonight at 9 p.m. The opener, chosen by fan vote, pits FC Balladream against FC Top Girl ― a marquee clash to launch the reboot in style.
